Canon Printer Scanner Stops Working After Upgrading Windows

If your Canon Printer’s Scanner is not working after upgrading Windows, this could be for several reasons and to correct this error, you can follow the given-below instructions according to the windows installed in your laptop.

    1. First of all, uninstall MP drivers

• Turn off your Canon printer.
• Click All Programs from the Start menu.
• Go to Canon MP Driver from the option of Uninstall a program and remove its application.
• When confirmation window pops-out click OK. The process will take some minutes.
• When done, the message will display on the screen for the successfully uninstalltion of program click OK.

    2. Uninstall IJ Scan Utility from the computer.

     * Window 8

• Go to Settings charm and click Control Panel.
• Next step is to go to Program section.
• Find the first option i.e. ‘Uninstall a program’ and choose Canon IJ Scan Utility.
• Click the Uninstall button and select ‘Yes’ for confirmation.
• When uninstalltion is finish, select OK button.

     * Windows 7/Windows Vista

• Power on your laptop and click Start Button.
• Select Control Panel and then Programs.
• Click Uninstall a program and make a double-click on the application.
• Click the Yes button when prompted for confirmation.
• When finish with the uninstalltion process hit OK.

     * Windows XP

• Go to start button and choose the option of Control Panel.
• Now, you have to click on Add or Remove Programs. 
• Select Canon IJ Scan Utility, and then select Change/Remove.
• After performing above steps click ‘Yes’ for confirmation of removing this application.
• Finally, click OK button

    3. Reinstall MP Drivers and IJ Scan Utility.
